It’s the third week of Magnify Your Style! I’m very happy with the comments, retweets, and love I have received from all of you, especially Independent Fashion Blogger. When I was with Street Vogue, I noticed the IFB Badge on the page. Not knowing what it was, I clicked on it and found this awesome community and blogger sources. At the time, I did not join because my blog was not ready. Once Magnify Your Style was ready for the world, I joined the IFB family. Man did I receive a welcome. That week, I probably received at least fifty e-mails from other members. They were polite and provided links to their blogs and other social sites. I loved the warm welcome and the new blogs I was exposed to.
Today, I want to share with you five of my favorite IFB blogs!
Style Is Eternal: Aly Martinez is a fashion student located in the Philippines! She has impressive style boards and great content. Also, she has many pages. To a reader this may not seem like a big deal. To me, she is indirectly suggesting pages I should add to my blog.
Aly’s Tuesday post is about a few pairs of interesting shoes. From a distance, it looks like someone could walk in them. Up close, they look…well…I’ll let you be the judge.
Prim and Propah: Amanda Davis is a crafty fashion blogger. If you’re looking for DIY projects, she is your girl. I like that she takes designer clothing and shows her readers it is possible to recreate this look for an affordable price, or make it your own.
Amanda’s Monday post is about Amanda’s weekend as well as detailed shots of her sunday outfit. She is embracing spring through her color blocking heels!
Timeless look : Gogui Ortiz is a fashion blogger from Boston, Massachusetts. What I love about her blog are the photos. I am a visual person. I need to see what you’re talking about. If it makes sense, I like to add photo’s to my post. Gogui photos are eye-catching. You need an aesthetic eye to capture your post in a photograph. She has it.
Gorgui’s Monday post is about fabulous sandals! Though it’s raining like no one’s business, the sun will be back again. Don’t miss out on some inspiration.
Willemijn So Fashion : Willemijn Sofie is a fashion blogger from Amsterdam! She loves vintage pieces and make is clear in her photographs. Even when a post is about her look of the day, she keeps it interesting with photos that tell a story. Being a photographer, it is important to have photos that leave a reader wanting more.
Willemijn’s Monday post is about fabulous pieces she purchased over the weekend and the fun she had with her sister!
Melody Louise: Melody Louise is a German fashion and beauty blogger. As I mentioned in my firs post, I am a beauty novice. I want to get to the point where I can call myself a beauty blogger. Till then, I will look to Melody for inspiration. Fun fact…Melody…. is not her real name. Also she caters to her english readers. If she did not translate german to english, I’d be lost in the sauce.
Melody’s Monday post this week is about a fragrance she created and the bottle she designed!
There you have it. These lovely ladies took out the time to send me an e-mail and/or a friend request. I’m glad they did! Each of the have given me ideas to make my blog better.
What do you think of these blogs and the bloggers that make them tick?
Are you an Independent Fashion Blogger? If so, how where your received into the IFB community?
Are you thinking about becoming a fashion blogger?
Love the wonderful variety of your choices!!! They are so international and totally different. Sorry it took forever to come by! I’ve been on 4 planes on the last 2 weeks, so it’s been a bit crazy. Many congrats on a job well done!
