Do you get bored doing mundane tasks? One of the ways I deal with that is listening to podcasts. Since home management is pretty repetitive, podcast help give my mind something to focus on. Rather than wishing this particular task was overwith already, I have a productive distractor to keep me on task. That probably sounds counterproductive, but it works for me. Although reading is my preferred method for learning/entertainment, audio is better for multitasking, because it easier to grab my attention this way. Right now my go-to Podcast are Let Us Tell It, Gin & Juice, Here’s The Thing, Is This Going To Cause An Argument, and Friday’s With Tab & Chance. Today, I want to talk about the latest addition to my podcast play list.
Mommy Confessions
Mommy Confessions is an honest look into motherhood and womanhood through a lens of comedy with no b.s.

Technically, Mommy Confessions is a revived podcast hosted by Angel Laketa Moore Tanksley, Dinora Walcot, and Quin Walters. They are framily (friend family) and sorority sisters that have navigated the entertainment industry and motherhood alongside each other. The first episode aired April 21, 2016, which is still available on That Chick Angel TV. On Mother’s Day, the trio explained how the podcast came to be, why they took a hiatus, and what to expect going forward.
What Do I Get From This
Although motherhood seems like a universal experience, it can feel like no one can relate to my mommy journey. I have friends that are moms, but that doesn’t mean that we can support each other through everything. Some of us are at different stages of Motherhood. That’s why I like listening to this podcast. These women are similar and different. There’s a healthy amount of unity and diverse perspectives. That comes out during their segments.
- Mommy Confessions – co-host share great and not so great mommy moments
- Gas Up – Angel, Dinora, and Quinn give a mom her flowers/praise
- Hot Momma – Quin talks about a mom that’s killing it in Fashion
- Side Bars – Just the natural off topic banter that naturally happen between friends
- Main Topic – Typically it’s mentioned in the title, but sometimes it’s a surprise
Final Thoughts
I’m glad Mommy Confessions is back. It’s nice to see women of color that are promoting healing and transparency. It’s very easy for mom’s to prioritize everyone else over themselves. These women remind listeners that it’s not selfish to make time for themselves. New episodes air every Monday. Listeners can watch current podcast episodes on Angel’s YouTube Channel, Mama Likes, and Facebook Watch at That Chick Angel Mommy Confessions. Older episodes are available That Chick Angel TV.
