I Tried Out J Way Boba Vanilla Latte

Whose familiar with Boba Tea. Nowadays it seems like there’s different kinds all over the place. Premade shelf staples, refrigerated, niche cafe’s, and more. Honestly I love accessibility. In fact, my boba journey started with Pho. An old friend of mine brought me to a Vietnam Pho restaurant. They had a few sides, but the rice noodle soup was the main attraction.During my first visit, I was hooked. She suggested ending the meal with Boba Milk Tea.  So, I picked a flavor, pierced the top with the oversized straw, and sipped. My friend was two for two. Our trip started my love of this tasty combo.

Back to the present, I decided to try out J Way Brown Sugar Boba Vanilla Latte Instant Coffee. Since I’m limiting my caffeine intake, I opted to replace one of my morning coffees with an iced latte. The box came with 3 instant boba packets, 3 instant coffee packets, and 3 paper straws.

At first I thought my cup was to small for this, because it calls for 2 oz (1/4 C) of hot water for the latte, 7 oz (about 3/4 C) of ice, and 2 oz (1/4 C) of milk or water. It’s definitely intended for tea time/me time.

Since it’s a paper straw I did have to eat the rest of the boba with a spoon, cause they absorbed some of the latte, which is typical for drinks like this. I couldn’t find that sweet spot between enjoying my drink before the Boba got to big for the straw.

Overall, It was easy to make and tasty. Price wise, your getting three for price of one restaurant Boba, but that comes with manual labor. Since the J Way  Latte and Boba were packaged separately, it has a longer shelf life than the premixed boba. If that sounds good to you, I suggest getting a box. Especially readers that keep flirting with the idea of trying instant boba, but back out at the last second.

When you choose to prioritize the needs of the many over the the few, it’s easy for mom’s to let go of the things that they like or end up calling guilty pleasures. When in fact, it’s not. Make room for your interest. I’ve got a Grogu (Baby Yoda) plushie on my nightstand as we speak. It simply there because it makes me happy, but that’s a story for another time. Either way,  I believe my point is made. See ya next week.
