I noticed that Random Thoughts : Toy Story 3 was getting some views lately. So, I decided to share more of my Random Thoughts about children’s movies that stay on rotation. For those unaware of what to expect from this new irregular series, Kids are naturally repetitive. They can watch something over and over again like it’s the first time they’ve seen it. As a result, parents have the opportunity to pick up on things. That’s probably why writers sprinkle adult humor here and there. In my opinion, The Bee Movie is more geared towards adults than kids. You’ll see why below.
Choosing A Career is Fatal

During a factory tour of Honex Industry, the latest college graduates are told that they’ll stay in the job that they pick for the rest of their lives. Barry is the only bee that seems to have a problem with this. To make matters worse, a bees job selection is limited to current vacancies. Since bees can’t retire or transfer, new bees are at the mercy of how many older bees kick the bucket that day. In reality, older worker bees that are knocking on heavens door are kicked out of the hive before they pass. So, I wonder if that’s what happens to “fired” Honex employees
Vanessa Was Stringing Ken Along

If you watch Vanessa’s demeanor towards Ken at her apartment, you can see how dismissive she is about him. Ken’s trying to make plans with her and she’s practically pushing him out the door with their friends. To be fair, he’s a tennis enthusiast seeking employment with a resume brochure. She’s a florist. Viewers get limited screentime with him, but they can tell that he isn’t a fan of Barry’s. To be fair, Vanessa abruptly ends their yogurt night, because she’s helping Barry sue the human race. These two activities didn’t have to occur on the same day. Plus, Vanessa lights up in a way that she doesn’t towards Ken when Barry isn’t around. So, I can see why he was ready to smash Barry with an issue of Italian Vogue.

Queen Bees Are Elected Officials

I don’t have much to say on this one. I bring it up, because Bee Larry King mentions an upcoming interview with three former queens who are promoting their book sassy ladies. I’m not sure how a queen be is selected. It makes you wonder what happens to the hive when her time comes. Is a new queen born and maturer in time to replace the old one?
Barry Doesn’t Face The Consequences For Taking To Humans
Multiple bees say it’s illegal to talk to humans. Before you say, “Barry found out humans were stealing honey.” That didn’t happen right away. Barry spoke to Vanessa twice. Once at her apartment and a leisurely walk to the grocery store.

Since Barry signed clearance paperwork to leave the hive, it’s on record that he left with the Pollen Jocks. Although he returned unscathed, he didn’t pick a job and left the hive again without an escort this time. Suddenly, he’s back with photos he took from honey farms. Until he is ready to sue the human race with Vanessa, Barry continues to leave the hive.

Yes, he plans to hold humans accountable in their court of law for violating bee rights. Why isn’t the queen holding Barry accountable for breaking a bee law. It makes it seem like two wrongs make a right. It’s abundantly clear Barry planned to keep seeing Vanessa. The honey just moves the plot along.
Final Thoughts
If you notice I don’t have an answer to any of these observations, you’re correct. I have not intention of answering them either. This was just a fun to share my random thoughts. Thanks for stopping by. See ya next week for Motivational Mondays with Trisha!
