When Did Smucker’s Uncrustables Get New Flavors?

You know how I use store shopping apps to make my in-store shopping list? Well, one of my kiddos asked me to get Strawberry Uncrustables. Naturally, I typed in his request and started scrolling up to find it. To my surprise their were more options than grape and strawberry jelly. You see, these apps will eventually show display what you asked for, but they’ll sneak in other items too.

Think of it as walking down the aisle searching for ground coffee and getting distracted by cold brew coffee grounds. You weren’t searching for that, but now you want to try it. In my opinion, that’s the tactic being used on these store apps. Getting back on track, I felt like sharing these new flavors with you as well as the probability of me getting them for my family.

Note: Grape and Strawberry have been available for a long time. So we’ll leave them out of this.

Peanut Butter and Honey Spread Wheat Sandwich

The thought never occurred to me to make a Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwich. I might add a drizzle of honey on a PB and Banana Sandwich. I’m not sure my littles would like it. It’ll come down to how the honey taste.

Surprisingly, this one isn’t accompanied by Peanut Butter. I’ve made Nutella and JIF PB sandwiches before. They taste like a Peanut Butter Cup. This seems like a missed opportunity here. My husband likes them. So, I occasionally get them to add to his lunch box. My kiddos don’t care for hazelnut spread. So I don’t need a big box of these.

Technically, this one isn’t available yet. I’d predict it’ll launch during Back2School 2024. You see people are hesitant to try new flavors. In my opinion, it would make sense to pair it with a coupon or sell it at a lower price. If they come out, I’d be willing to try them. My kiddos like raspberry too.

As predicted Raspberry Smuckers are officially available in 4 Count, 10 Count, and 15 Count. I’ve yet to see them in the wild (store front), but it does have an official page now. So happy hunting.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, food like this are made for convenience. They aren’t very filling either. Yes, it’s more budget friendly to make a sandwich, but that’s doesn’t mean it isn’t time consuming. So, I see the benefits of keeping these in the freezer and adding them to lunch boxes. They’ll thaw out by the time your loved one eats it. Uncrustables don’t get soggy from the jelly/spread. Now that I think about it, it’s not surprising that Smuckers branched out. Given the line of jams that they sell, it was only a matter of time till raspberry joined the fray. I wonder which flavor will be next?
