Paolo In Tokyo: My Top 5 Day In the Life

You know what’s interesting about Social Media. In the beginning, it was very hard for creators get their audience to follow all of their accounts. To be fair, social platforms want users to stay on their app or site for as long as possible. This is because they need to prove that their platform is lucrative for targeted marketing. I bring this up because, I found Paolo about 4 years ago. At the time, I was only watching his videos on Facebook. I’d share it and go about my day. I didn’t realize that he had a YouTube Channel.

Before you say “Girl…” here me out. I can’t be the only person that tunes out near the end of the video. Like you can tell things are coming to a close. So you prepare to find the next thing or go about your business. This is how I was blind to Paolo. In fact, YouTube had to suggest my favorite Day In The Life for me to realize Paolo had an account this entire time. Now that I’m a subscriber, I rewatch the following Day In The Life’s more than I’m proud to admit.

5. Japanese Wagyu Farmer

It’s interesting to see how much care goes into raising cattle. Farmers give their cattle a level of care that would expected for pets. Yes, their cattle is getting prepared for auction and the butcher. The detailed health records, barn cooling system, and overall cleanliness definitely showcases why Wagyu Beef is respected world wide. Maintaining quality cattle from calf to cow is very time consuming. Being passionate about ones work definitely helps.

4. Toy Maker

I didn’t know that Sega had a toy company that wasn’t limited to the video games they’ve created over the years. I love the toy makers get a monthly stifen to play, read, and watch content. This takes the financial burden of keeping up with trends off the toy makers. Could you imagine coming up with new toy ideas 3 to 4 times a month. I don’t know about you, but that takes a lot of effort.

3. Japanese Butcher

This video took me back to my childhood. My mom used to take us to the local butcher. Our meat wasn’t prepacked in plastic and Styrofoam like it is in grocery stores. She had more control of the portions she wanted. Yes, you can do this at grocery stores, but that really depends on the layout. It’s more common for the butcher portion of a store to be secluded. You only see the butchers when they restock. Whereas, this local butcher has a working relationship with multiple businesses in his vicinity. He’s liked by his costumers and works hard to maintain his familiys

2. Japanese Bakery

Do you know someone that is so busy, that you don’t know how they get everything done. That’s definitely this head baker. She’s a dancer, wife, mother of two, and bakes bread for a living. She’s constantly on the go. As a result, she has a history of overworking herself. Rather than give up, she continues to work towards balance in her work and personal life.

1. Japanese Mom & Baby

There are a few things that initially drew me to this Day In The Life. For starters, my day starts before everyone. Since I’ve to get up so early, I’m up for hours before I’ve actually eaten anything. Hence, the need for that first sip of coffee in the morning. Two, I thought it was interesting that she used to be a Geisha in training. She maybe a wife and mother, but she doesn’t let that define her. Motherhood doesn’t require you to give up your identity.

Final Thoughts

So what is we the point of all this? One, I really like Paolo’s content and wanted to share this series with you. Two, this is my way of saying, support your favorite creators across platforms. especially, those that make free content. In many situations, potential sponsors are more concerned about audience size than content traffic. I’m saying you’ve gotta become a patron. That’s a monitary step that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Your engagement matters and is appreciated.

Sharing is caring! Let me know what you think.
