Did anyone notice how quickly Christmas was evicted this year. I mean it was no where close to Halloween’s treatment last year. Still Valentine’s Day kicked the door down and shoved Christmas to the clearance section. In honor of that, I decided to jump right into Valentine’s Day. Blend that with one of my favorite comfort shows and you get Bob’s Burgers Top 3 Valentine’s Day Episodes.
3. Can’t By My Math, Season 5, Episode 11

Tina manages to get roped into a Valentine Scheme with her math tutor. Daryll has a crush on a gamer girl that’s older than him. He feels like he has to use the Cupid’s Couple vibe to raise his popularity with a fake girlfriend. Then use the unexpected break up to get the girl he wants. We all know that Tina has a crush on Jimmy Jr. It’s the worst kept secret. Tina thinks going a long with this plot will help her get Jimmy. Turns out a third option happens. She falls for Daryll and is jealous of his new relationship. Things get a little ugly. On top of that, Tina’s math grade doesn’t get any better. There is a silver lining here, but I won’t spoil it.
2. The Gene & Courtney Show, Season 6, Episode 7
Gene and Courtney have a complicated relationship. You see, Courtney had a crush on Gene. He was kinda peer pressured into dating her. He wanted to break up immediately, but her Dad makes jingles for a living. Thinking he can overlook his disinterest in her, Gene stays with Courtney. Long story short the relationship goes up in flames. Fast forward, the two make a mock morning announcements on the fly during homeroom. The two are a hit and start doing the morning announcements for the entire school.

Unintentionally, Gene and Courtney start having feelings for each other, which hurts the quality of their morning announcements. Long story short, Courtney decides to end their relationship before it has a chance to bloom. This leave Gene feeling a bit melancholy, but the two are able to reach a middle ground and move forward. By the way, there’s a carnation catastrophe sprinkled in the episode as well. What would you do if you could figure out who sent who carnations for Valentine’s Day? Wouldn’t you open all of them…in a disorganized fashion? No….Just Tina…
1. V For Valentine – Detta, Season 8, Episode 8

First off, can we appreciate the play on words? Just from the title alone, you can tell there is tomfoolery afoot. This is more of a Galentine’s Day Episode because Jimmy Jr. is ruthless. For once, Tina actually has Valentine’s Day plans with Jimmy Jr., but he snubs her for another girl. Bob and Linda have to adjust their Valentine’s Day plans to console their daughter. While the ladies paint the town red in a Pink Limo, Bob and Gene take an acrobat class. While you watch father and son grow closer, you watch a Galentine adventure unfold.
Final Thoughts
I love Bob’s Burgers holiday episodes. It’s a feel good show that you can watch out of order and still enjoy it for what it is. There’s something extra about the festive episodes. If you haven’t watched Bob’s Burgers before. These seasonal episodes aren’t a bad place to start.
