Contrary to popular belief,  you can’t just decide to sell your things in-person. Dome US cities require permits for yard sales and flea market tables. These steps can make selling your belongings very condiluded. That’s why more people use apps and social media to sell second hand items. The seller isnt limited by time or location. The buyer can browse without pressure. Communication isn’t needed till the haggling phase of this interaction. Why are lightly used goods apps necessary.

By second hand online without seeing the item in person comes with risks. The buyer is at the mercury of the sellers honesty. Meaning, are these the most upto date pictures of this used item. Do they actually owm the goods that they are selling. A certain degree of trust is need to buy on apps. This is also why Poshmark is helpful.

This is helpful fot consumers that rotate their wadrobe and home frequently.  They are paying to store excess somewhere else. On the flip side, the sellers can get a slight return in their investment. It can be a budget friendly place to shop.

Second-hand pieces shouldn’t be marked up for profit. Well, this blanket statement doesn’t cover vintage. That’s an area that I don’t feel like getting into at this moment. These items were already manufactured and sold. The owner is choosing to relinquish it for a price. That’s why Poshmark helps consumers find light used designer pieces.

Unlike other apps, Poshmark offers authentication as well as protected purchases. If this seems very consumers driven, Poshmark has perks for the consumer, like prepaid shipping labels. Truthfully,  I only looked into it because i heard several social media personalities mention selling their stuff.  In a word, they tactfully draw attention to excessive consumption,  I think it’s a practical way to minimize clutter.
