If you were expecting a review of the main story, that’s not going to happen. However, I will give you a piece of advice. Like previous Rune Factory games, you can decided to be a man or woman. This time, you can save the gender that you don’t pick. They become a love interest. How?
Well you both came from the same village and have a binding covenant with a Dragon. The character I picked, Kaguya, wants to save Azuma as the Earth Dancer. Unfortunetally, her childhood friend wants to destroy Azuma to save her. Think of it as the villian letting the world burn for you.
To move the story along, you have to defeat the Black Dragon. Dragons are soul linked to their riders. Putting and end to the Black Dragon means sacrificing Subaru. Based on the storyline, Kaguya, my character, is flooded with grief immediately after defeating Subaru. When presented with an opportunity to save her childhood friend, Kaguya makes a pact with the Black Dragon. Since she’s already soul linked to Wooly, Kaguya has to decide what she’s willing to give up for Subaru.
Would You Give Up Your Progress Or Let Him Go?
There are three options to save Subaru. I’ll be honest, I gave up wealth but not a lot of it. You see, the game prompts you to save before fighting the Black Dragon. It seems they did this, so the player could come back to choose a different option without having to redo a lot. Keep in mind, you can only save at Dragon Statues. So any story line save option is important. Since I was caught of gaurd, I decided not to save him. That seemed pretty selfish. So, I decided on the option that I could recover quickly.

If you agree to give up your riches, you’ll loose all the money you’ve made thus for. It doesn’t matter how much or little you have. So, I spent as much as I could, defeated the black dragon again and made my pact. Its not as romantic or self sacrificing. It worked. So, I gained a friend, who could be conquered.
Time To Conquer, I Mean Make Time For Love
So far, I’ve confessed to six out of the seven male characters. Interestingly, I was able to secure a heartfelt confession to all six on the first try. This surprised me, because it seemed liked I needed to secure a higher Love Level in Rune Factory 4 and 5. That might seem like a good idea, but there’s draw backs to this. You need to have three special dates with a heartfelt conversation about your future as a couple. These conditions require specific love levels. To unlock the marriege quest, your lover must reach level 10. This only works for the Level 10 Character you’re officially dating.

Usually, the MC must spend money to propose and make space for there spouse. Not this time, you need Divine Spirits (liqour) and a Blossom branch. Wooly is the one that will give you a sampling to plant at the back of the Dragon Shrine and the liqour recipe. It’ll take about 3 days for the tree to mature. From there, you simply invite your lover on a special outing to propose. Your characters sets the time and they’ll meet you at your residence.

They’re more than likely to say yes, because you couldn’t unlock this date without meeting certain requirements. Still, it doesn’t hurt to continue to spend time with them while your proposal tree is growing. Once you encourage your lover to propose to you, your wedding will commence the following day. It’ll take all morning and end at 8 pm. If you’d like, you can skip the wedding march, ceremony, and credits. Considering I intend to romance all seven men, I’m glad I dont have to sit through the credits each time.
Final Thoughts

So far, I’ve married one and am ready to propose to another. Yet, I’m torn. I have my single file, four official relationships, one marriage, and one almost fiance. Aside from the husband and almost fiance file, I’m debating whether I should continue to play the official relations files or get everyone to level 10 on my single file. By getting everyone to Level 10, I can get the dates done quickly and unlock the marriage quest right away. I think I’ll be patient and get the remaining 5 upto Level 10. This way, I’m not repeating contest/special events across several files.

Sharing is caring! Let me know what you think.
