Nintendo Switch 2 is officially here and I’m not in a hurry to buy it. Some could agrue it’s the latest concerning features of the game. One, Nintendo can permanently disable your console. Two, cartridges aren’t actually physical copies of the game anymore. It’s basically a shell. Think of like a computer program that needs a product key to actually work on your devices. I don’t like that. It basically means you need constant access to wifi to use Nintendo Switch 2. Considering it’s still a portable game system, these restrictions don’t make sense to me. Although these reasons are alarming, I haven’t bought it because I’m not in a hurry to own the latest and greatest.

More often than not, new console games are expensive. Plus, popular tittles will still sell previous console options too. That being said, sometimes they’ll use old reliable to push console sales like Mario Kart. It’s a gaurenteed money maker and the latest installment is only available for Nintendo Switch 2. Meanwhile, Hyrule Warriors is available for both. They pick and choose which games will start the great migration. If you’re slow on the shift, their are things you should do while you still can.

- Buy The Games You Passed On
- Buy Accessories
- Sell Games You Don’t Play
- Trade Games
- Watch Out For Clearance and Markdown Sales
- Buy Non-Popular Games
- Buy Memory Cards
- Be Cautious About Buying Digital Download Games

Final Thoughts
Although stores like Gamestop tend to keep multiple generations in stock, there’s no garuntee that the games you pass on now will get remastered. One of their goals is selling used and new games. Plus accessories will grow more scarce. I bought a multi controller extension from the clearance section the other day. I got a good deal on it, but its something that’ll be hard to replace at a fair price in the future.
