Find Unbiased Car Insurance Policy Quotes with Automobile

This is a sponsored post. However, the opinions are my own.

When I bought my first car, I didn’t put a lot of thought into who’d insure it. Basically, I relied on car insurance commercials to make my decision. There’s a misconception in the U.S. that young drivers are added to their parent’s policy. Some of us have to figure it out on our own. I was one of those new drivers navigating this new expense. Due to decades of advertising, I limited my potential car insurance providers to Geico, Progressive, State Farm, The General, and Nationwide. Since I picked my insurer before I bought my car, I limited my coverage options. Given the day and age we live in, there was a website I could of used for unbiased help. That’s Automobile.com.

Truth Is…

Insurance providers like Progressive advertise that they’ll display their prices with competitors, but at the cost of the consumer providing a lot of personal information for a policy application. That’s a lot of information to share with a potential insurer. You’ll get a detailed quote based on what you provided, but it won’t be a fair representation of competitor rates.

How’s Automobile.com Different

First off, Automobile’s search tool starts with your zip code. Next, Their algorithm identifies car insurance websites, who provide free quotes, that are compatible with your location. From there, you’ll see a brief description of that website along with potential savings. Once you decide which company you want to start with, click “Get Quote,” you’ll be redirected to that site. Since Automobile doesn’t support single-insurer affiliates, you don’t have to worry about subjective search results. If you don’t like the estimated policies one site shows, simply go back to Automobile’s zip code results and get quotes from another site. If Automobile is more of a middle man for other car insurance sites, why should use them to find affordable car insurance?

Unreliable Sites Try To Mirror Trustworthy Sites

With consumers preferring access to multi quote results via internet, it’s tempting for free insurance site developers to affiliate with specific insurance providers. These backdoor deals impact how third party sites display free quotes. After all, it’s just a quote. The insurance site with an agenda isn’t forcing anyone to apply for car insurance. If the consumer trust that the unreliable site is providing unbiased results, the sites affiliates quotes will look more favorable than it’s competitors. That’s not the only reason to compare policies on Automobile.

Automobile Provides Upfront Insurance Requirements By State

Have you ever purchased an insurance plan and recieved a letter stating your insurance policy went up for a state coverage requirement? At this point, you’ve already paid the monthly bill. Now you’re blindsided by a policy update that you can’t fight. Automobile helps consumers sort out the non-negotiable coverage for their state. This way shoppers that decide to persue a full on application for coverage can identify insurance companies that neglect to include those in the policy agreement.

Final Thoughts

Don’t let advertising dictate what companies you explore for car insurance policies. There are quick and efficient tools out there for comparing policies that are compatible with your location. Let Automobile provide unbiased search results to narrow down you options. Thank you for stopping by for Mystery Post Tuesday. Hope you’ll be back for Trisha’s Go In Fridays!
