Why I Renewed My Annual Peacock TV Subscription

This is not a sponsored post. This is not a PeacockTV Collaboration. I wanted to update y’all on my previous TGIF post about PeacockTV annual subscription.

Back in 2022, I took advantage of Peacock TV’s annual streaming subscription for $19.99. If you’d like to know why I did it, check out my previous post. Since the deal only lasted a year, the renewal was $59.99. Mathematically, it should be $71.88, but Peacock TV gives annual subscribers a $11.89 discount. So you almost get two months free. That’s why I don’t mind paying the $59.88 plus tax upfront. This budget friendly plan is not the only reason I renewed my subscription.

Exclusive Big Screen Titles

Thanks to Peacock TV, my family was able to watch Minions: Rise of Gru and Super Mario Bros:  The Movie. Although our family enjoys going to the movies, it’s not the most budget friendly experience. Truthfully, the last movie we saw in theaters were Sonic 2 and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Having the chance to stream movies that aren’t available in digital, DVD, or Blu-ray is an affordable family night for us. Plus, I don’t have to be in a hurry to buy the movie.

I love My Big Fat Greek Wedding. When I get a good amount of undisturbed mommy time. I plan to watch this. Hopefully, it wo

Content For Children

DreamWorks and Illumination dominate the movies available on our children’s account. Plus, some of the shows my kids like on YouTube Kids are on Peacock TV. So, they get access to that media without YouTube Kids questionable suggestions. I’ll admit YouTube Kids is safer than YouTube, but you still have to keep an eye on what your kids are watching. Since we don’t have an ad free subscription, my kids are still exposed to ads. Most of the time, their just ads for other kid-friendly content on Peacock TV.

So Much Reality TV

Although, I’ve started limiting the drama that I watch on TV, Peacock TV has a Reality TV buffet. When I’m in the mood for it, there’s plenty to choose from like Queens Court. It reminded me of Bravo’s Millionaire Match Maker, because the Queen’s were the wealthy ladies looking for love outside of their industries. So, they were open to successful men that they wouldn’t typically cross paths with. If you haven’t watched yet, I’d check it out.

I decided to watch it last year, because Melissa and Mel, sisters and co-hosts of Gin & Juice Podcast, recommended it. I have a habit of watching things after the fact. So, I didn’t mind the spoilers I heard on

Final Thoughts

Many of us left cable bills in favor of affordable streaming services that met a majority of our needs. Unfortunately, major networks are creating their own streaming services. They are either removing their content all together or restricting their content with package pay walls. Since it’s rare to get everything at a fair price on one app, consider adding PeacockTV to your entertainment budget.
