Motivational Mondays with Trisha: Nostalgia

I finally sat down and watched Inside Out 2 with my family. Although I’m late to the party, Pixar did a fantastic job with this movie. We got to see Joy’s growth as a lead emotion with interpersonal skills. Yes, She is still Riley’s head emotion in charge, but she’s more of a team player this time. Yet, all that growth goes out of the window, because of puberty. Que red flashing and alarm.

We’ve got the unwanted co-captian, anxiety, whose accompanied by Envy, Embarrassment, and Ennui. The power struggle starts at a very sensitive time for Riley. Kind of like a crossroads that. If you wondering where I’m going with this. Nostalgia is relevant to the situation. She’s literally a lil grandma that keeps showing up early. Do you really have to be old to be nostalgic, I don’t think so. I’m sure Riley at 13 was missing a time when things were simpler. So maybe Nostalgia was on time? Just a thought.
