If your not a regular visitor here, I’m assuming you found this because you finished this slow burn fantasy romance anime. You’re probably thinking there’s more to the story. You’d be right. Good News: There’s a manga adaption and Light Novels. Before we get into that, let’s make sure everyone else knows what where talking about.
So What Is The Saint’s Magic Is Omnipotent About?
Two people are summoned to a kingdom that is being plagued by monsters. They’re told, since the saint didn’t arrive on her own, they summoned her. Also, they had no way to send them back. By the way, one was a teenager and the other a young women. With no definitive proof, Sei, the young woman, is told she’s not the saint. After a few days of utter boredom, she wanders into the garden of the kingdoms research institute.
Due to her interest in plants, her frequent trips to the institue turns into an unexpected job offer with room and board. Staff quickly notice Sei’s able to make mid and high-grade potions with ease. Later down the line, Knights discover Sei has spiritual power as well. A series of events makes the kingdom debate whose the true saint. After Sei performs a healing miracle on amputees, it’s decides she’s the true saint; which leads to miasma swamp clearing expeditions across the kindgom.
Now it’s not all work and no play for this Saintess. There’s plenty of light hearted moments with her love interest. Her need for modern comforts unintentionally turns her into a business woman. Don’t forget her magic classes. I’m not sure where she finds the time, but we manage to get two seasons out of all that.
So, What’s Next For Sei and Her Fiance
Well, I’ve got good news, the anime is based on a Light Novel with an ongoing manga. Bad News: the manga is way behind the Light Novel. If you kinda want a recap or more details about the Season Two Finale, I’d start at Light Novel Volume 8. A potential Season 3 coule start with Light Novel 9, which is available in audiobook too. This is the first time I’ve come across an audiobook for a Light Novel.

If you’re curious, it’ll take 4 hrs and 37 min to listen to it. Also, it doesnt quite align with then Light Novel table of context. On the Libby (Digital Library) app, you can’t read and listen too books symotaniosly. If your Libby Library offers both, you’ll have to decide which one you want read/listen first. Be advised, the audio version isn’t broken down by chapter. Don’t fret, you can still bookmark audio books with Libby.
Final Thoughts
It’s not wishful thinking to hold out for another season. Yes, they’ll be engagement moments, because Season 2 ended with the proposal. That will take a back seat to world building. Because Sei is marrying a green flag. He’s willing to postpone their wedding procedures to gaurd her on this once in a lifetime expedition. If you were worried there’d only be wedding planning epsiodes, you’d be mistaken. Honestly, I haven’t finished Light Novel 9, but this is good news worth sharing. As much as we’d love back to back Season’s like The Apothecary Diaries. That’s not always the case. Regardless, the source material is there and I thought yall should know.

Sharing is caring! Let me know what you think.
