Magnify Your Style’s: The Rasmus

The RasmusBack in 2004, I replaced MTV with Fuse to meet my music needs. Before it became a channel you could only have access to with a cable box, it was a basic cable channel. Here you could watch in-depth interviews with artist and watch marathon of videos by a specific artist. The show did what MTV used to do. As a result, I was able to watch an awesome video called “In The Shadows” by The Rasmus. In essence, the song is about wall flowers that don’t act on their feelings. They are waiting for an opportunity. Their eyes are usually on the future cause the present is unbearable. This is shown through a young woman who appears to be working for a wealthy family against her will and is looking for something different and invigorating. This dark soothing band playing underground in a dimly lit room provides something new and different for her. Besides the fact that the song is amazing, thought went into the video. The Rasmus dove into the imagery and setting of the song. The song is ideal for those that are nervous about changing the state of things in their lives. Also, the lead singer has a melodic voice.

Have you heard of The Rasmus?
