T-Pain Can Mix Me a Drink

I judge books by their covers. I wanted to read something entertaining. That is when I saw his face (T-Pain). Kingston Imperial published Can I Mix You a Drink November 2, 2021. As the title implies, the high-end liquor guide features 50 cocktails. Maxwell Britten, award winning food and beverage executive, and Kathy Iandoli, American author, helped T-Pain with the book. Britten is the co-author and Iandoli is the Curator.

From an asthetic perspective, the book’s layout and design are similar to other mixology books in the market. Black glossy pages with high definition photos, which were copyrighted by Madelyn Ross of Bits and Bevs (she’s a blogger and photographer). Each drink category shares tidbits about T-Pain. If you listen to his podcast, Nappy Boy Radio with T-Pain, he’s pretty open about his life and the music industry.

It took me a while to realize the drinks are named after his songs. As a fan, I was surprised I missed it. The first one I noticed was Cyclone. This song is still on my iPod Touch. I’m not familiar with Baby Bash. I bought the song because it featured T-Pain.

Side Note, T-Pain was initially on the hook of this song, but was taken off. He shared the original hook on Instagram.

Then, I noticed Freeze. Breezy caused my “Aha” moment. When I saw the title, Chris brown immediately came to mind. Surprisingly, Freeze is not a T-Pain feature. Chris just has a habit of taking over songs.

In my opinion the hardcover book would make a nice gift, as well as, a treat yourself purchase. Can I Mix You a Drink may be purchased at Amazon, Books-a-Million, Barnes & Knobles, Target, Walmart, IndieBound, Powell’s, Hudson Booksellers, and Bookshop.org.

If you had the opportunity, would you let T-Pain mix you a drink?

What are you favorite songs by or featuring T-Pain?

Sharing is caring! Let me know what you think.
