Motivational Mondays with Trisha: Declutter

If you follow my Twitter feed, you might notice that I am liking, tweeting, and retweeting Mind Body Simplicity Blog frequently lately. Because of her content, I’ve put some thought into this week’s theme, which is decluttering. It’s one of my coping mechanisms. When things feel out of my control, I try to focus on a task that I can complete with immediate results. For example, I love notebooks. As a result, I have many of them in various places. It’s rare for me to fill all the pages, because I cast them off for a new pretty one.

Recently, I decided to gather all my blog related notebooks. I decided which one would be the keeper of inspiration, drafted blog posts, and future projects. Then I tore out anything that did not relate to MagnifyYourStyle. Next, I scribed blog data from the other notebooks to consolidate the information. This may sound tedious, but I was able to center myself and repurpose those notebooks. Plus writing is a good way to retain information. So it was nice to see how much Magnify Your Style has changed this year.

This is my roundabout way of saying decluttering doesn’t have to be large scale endeavor. I hope this week’s quotes inspire you to work through things that are physically or mentally cluttering your life.

Sharing is caring! Let me know what you think.
