You might be wondering why I specified the type of veteran I am sharing quotes for today. Yes, Veterans Day is an American Holiday. It’s a Paid Time Off (PTO) Holiday as well. So it’s not a forgotten American Holiday. Let’s be honest people tend to appreciate holidays they get some personal gain from. Though the word veteran is used to describe Service Members that survived deployment, mobilization, and term of service, that word doesn’t belong to the military.
Merriam-Webster may list military veterans first, but most dictionaries refer to a veteran as a person who has had long experience in a particular field. Words matter. Now that we’ve cleared that up. I’d like to acknowledge our brothers and sisters in arms’ service to the United States of America. If you are a veteran, thank you for answering the call very few do.
