Motivational Mondays with Trisha: Lilo and Stich

If there’s anything we can learn from Lilo and Stitch, it’s about trying to carve out a new normal. These Sisters are in a crossroads situation. Nani is thrusted into a somewhat single mother life. She struggles with being Lilo’s guardian and sister. Lilo needs Nani has a sister, but society demands Nani to prove she can parent Lilo. Who by the way is still very much in the anger phase of her grief. The pillars to their family are gone. Life is finite, but that doesn’t mean they can’t rebuild their broken family. Yes, Stich is an unexpected suprise. Much like his name suggest, Stich mends this broken family. I like that this movie reminds us to remember those we’ve lost. It’s proof they were here. Moving forward, doesn’t mean leaving them behind.
