Did you know that holding in tension comes with long term health issues. It’s outrageous to me that autoimmune disease can be developed by chronic unresolved rage. Like trying to keep the peace 97% of the time actually does more internal harm than good. Who knew the consequences of people pleasures was your own body attacking healthy cells. To that I say, no thank you. Voice your grievances to people you deem safe spaces.
Now I realize, there is a reason some people bottle up their gripes, but I do encourage them to find safe ways to release it. Cause it isn’t fair to have your health deteriorate from it. Whether that’s journaling, therapy, or venting time with safe people, there needs to be time set aside to release the unspoken pain people hold onto. Art is a good outlet too.
