Why A Live Action Apothecary Diaries Makes Sense

Live Action seems to be a cringe word in the western anime community. There are several reasons for that. The setting and character design don’t always play nice with real world limitation. Casting is restricted to actors that can speak the native language. Sometimes directors and writers take to much creative liberty. Still, I don’t fans resistance to a live action Apothecary Diaries.  If anything, it’s very tangible

See how attainable this Apothecary Diaries Season 3 visual would be

The Apothecary Diaries is not a futuristic show with magical themes. On the contrary,  it takes place in imperial China. This particular setting appears in East Asian Dramas all the time. Also, live action can mean different things. It could be a movie, play, or limited TV Series. Honestly, if they wanted to milk this cow, they should make a jdrama based on the shows.

Given the shows asthetics, a live action is just another way for us to support the series. Not to mention, cosplayers have already shown these characters can be brought to life. Honestly, the hardest part would be casting. Since voice actors don’t necessarily do well infront of the camera, the live action Jinshi will have to live upto the animated Jinshi.

This one might be harder to live upto but not impossible.

Keep in mind fans have received 48 Episode across 2 Season’s. Not including, the third season that’s in production with a movie as well. That’s a lot of hype to live upto to. Not impossible, but should still be considered an obstacle to over come. Honestly,  I’m looking forward to seeing more promos on this project
