Father’s Day doesn’t receive the same degree of love and admiration as Mother’s Day. Aside from cards and a gift from the seasonal holiday aisle, it’s understandable for a person not notice the difference in celebration. It’s like an active fathers dedication to his family is overshadowed by neglectful ones. When people acknowledge a single parent’s duality on holidays like this, it can come off as another slight at fathers. I bring this up to say, “Active fathers, you know who you are. I want you to feel seen and celebrated.” Some of you maybe following the example of caring father’s that came before you. Others maybe breaking generational curses by being present with your children. Thank you for being there.
