Embrace Your Inner Pin-Up!

Ladies summer is almost here. We have worked hard turning away unhealthy foods, working out when we can, and trying to lead healthy life styles. Today it is time to look  in the mirror and say, “I am a sex symbol!” No matter where you are physically, you are a beautiful woman. It’s time to stand up to those voices in your head that say otherwise.

The best way to bring out our your inner kitten is the Pin-up line at Unique Vintage. Before we dive into Unique Vintage, it is important that we understand what a Pin-up girl is. The Pin-up girl is someone who is drawn/photographed and sold for personal entertainment. There are iconic pin-up girls that are real and fictional. The term Pin-up was coined in the 20th century but the practice was done a century earlier by burlesque actresses and performers. In essence, women are being admired and idealized. I understand that some may have negative feeling about Pin-ups, but  I like them. They are beautiful, sexy, and confident women. We should all own that. This is why I am sharing with you my favorites from Unique Vintage.

Blue And Red Ship Shape Anchor Bikini Swimsuit Set

Want to feel like Wonder Woman? This bikini is perfect for you. Though Wonder Woman is a fictional D.C. Comicbook hero, she is a symbol of strength and beauty.

Rockabilly Girl by Bernie Dexter**50s Style Chelsea Pin Up Sunny Tea Room Swing Dress – XS-2X

This 50s inspired dress looks so cute and fun. It brings attention to our feminine side. I could see myself wearing this to a garden party. Sexy doesn’t mean your girls have to be out for the world to see. Sexy can be your inner beauty as well

Black, Red and White Knit Argyle Cardigan – S-XL

This cardigan is perfect for someone who is a closet Pin-up. You can still embrace this retro style without going all out. Wear it to school, work, or lunch with friends. The colors make it perfect for any season. Personally, I would save this one for the fall. Though it feels like October, I know the weather will change soon. Hopefully…

Rockabilly Girl by Bernie Dexter**Red Gingham Halter Bell Romper-XS-XL

This romper screams spring and summer. Plus, you don’t have to worry about your bum peaking from the back are the girls saying hello in the front. If you love your arms, you can show them off with the halter neck line.
