You Make Me Feel…

I love music, but I am terrible with song titles and artists. That is why I love Pandora! Their algorithm helps me find songs, introduces me to similar artist, and is free…with ads. The app and website has music for any occasion and emotion. When I am in a bubbly mood, Cobra Starship and Sabi are the remedy.

Cobra Starship is a pop rock band that makes electronic dance music. Sabi is a triple threat entertainer. She is a singer, dancer, and actress. Their collab title, “You Make Me Feel” derives from the chorus, which made the song easier to find and remember. It is a single from Cobra Starship’s album, Night Shades.

The song, “You Make Me Feel” is a vibe.  The music video fits the song perfectly. The photo [feeling] booth was an interesting touch. It exposed a person’s inner thoughts/needs. Between party and dancing sequences we get snap shots of what’s on everyone’s minds. The desire to feel complete helps Gabe Saporta (Cobra Starship) find Sabi (featured artist). In my opinion, the video showed people can fake happiness.

Surprisingly, the video is pretty PG. Yes, there are some adult situations in the video. Compared to recent music videos, “You Make Me Feel” is pretty tame. Not convinced, check out the lyrics. In my opinion, the lyrics are vague and suggestive. They definitely pass the radio test. Maybe that’s due to the year it was released. By the way…

I can’t believe this party track is 10 years old! The dance pop track takes me back to college. A good time was within walking distance, friends weren’t States away, an party music filled my iPod. Now, “You Make Me Feel” is on my workout, cooking, and cleaning playlist. Does that make me forever young? Who knows?
