Motivational Mondays with Trisha : Coffee

One of my nightly routines is prepping my Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker. I grab a Mellita Cone Coffee Filter [sometimes it’s a reusable K-C up], scoop a precise amount of medium roast coffee, and ensure the coffee maker is filled with water. I prefer to use bottle over tap. At the end of the day I go with what’s easier to grab at that moment. Just the thought of knowing my coffee is almost ready to brew is soothing to me. I’m not a daily latte kind of lady. So, it’s easier and cheaper to brew my own coffee. Even expensive coffee brand grinds brewed at home cost less than daily trips to a brick and mortar franchise for to go coffee. So, this act of self care is soothing and cost effective to me.

Regardless of workday or weekend, I’m usually up before my family. As I stager to the kitchen. I plug up the coffee maker, press brew, and start the day. Even if the kids decide to get up before my alarm, the coffee pot is ready to go. Now, I know you should start your day with water. In the spirit of having both, I pour freshley brewed coffee into my baby blue thermas and pull a Aquafina bottle out of the freezer. This way my coffee won’t get cold right away. Since I’m not in favor of burning my mouth, I have something to drink while I make breakfast. At this pointed you’ve read how essential and soothing coffee to my daily life. It felt right to hop on a lighter topic without turning to comic relief. To my coffee loving tribe out there, I hope you feel seen this morning!
