Motivational Mondays with Trisha: Positive Self-Talk

Sometimes it seems we live in a very melancholy society. Negativity that stems from the present is much easier to cultivate than positivity rooted in hope. It’s very easy to curate future focused negative self-talk, because of past experiences. It’s like being in a mental pit. You can see the sun above, but it feels like the pit keeps getting deeper. I’d like to say it’s easy to spot people that are struggling to climb out of their mental pits, but it’s not. That sinking feeling happens whether that person alone or surrounded by friends and family. Positive Self-Talk is one way to climb out of the pit. A ladder won’t appear out of thin air, but the sun will feel closer than it has lately. If Monday feels harder than normal, I hope these quotes encourage you to think positive. I know that’s harder than it sounds.
