During the week, I like to listen to podcasts. They don’t require my full attention. Sometimes they are a source of inspiration. Since I’m late to the Tab & Chance parade, I like to listen to some of their older episodes. This particular Friday’s with Tab & Chance made me stop reading The Montessori Method by Maria Montessori. The trigger word was Fear. Some people have a fear of failure. On the flip side, some people have a fear of success.
Regardless of the type, each are a hindrance to personal growth. They stunt our potential too. It’s important to have people in your life that enable your potential instead of nurturing your self doubt. Believe it or not, there is a difference between pessimist and realist. This Friday’s with Tab and Chance episode discussed important qualities of an inner circle as well.
We only over come Fear by facing it, which instantly transported me to Kingdom Hearts III intro Face My Fears. Those unfamiliar with the game series, won’t understand the struggles and circumstances Keyblade Wilders, like the Protagonist Sora, has faced against the darkness. Yet, he still keeps moving forward.

I realize Friday’s with Tab & Chance and Kingdom Hearts don’t have much to do with each other. The lyrics from latest game were the link for me.
“Breath, should I take a deep?
Faith, should I take a leap?
Taste, what a bittersweet
All my, all my life
Let me face, let me face, let me face my fears
Oh, let me face, let me face, let me face my fears
Won’t be long, won’t be long, I’m almost here
Watch me cry all my tears
Watch me cry all my tears
Lose, soon have nothing to
Space, this is what I choose
A mile, could you walk in my shoes
All your, all your life”
This week take time to think about fears that are holding you back. Are there places that you want visit? Are there things that you want to do? It doesn’t have to be something extreme. I could be holding on to a figurative security blanket.
