Motivational Mondays with Trisha: Lagom

It’s week two of the new year. The holiday season promoted an abundance of rest and celebration. Now that the festivities are over and the decorations are put away, some of use are struggling to get back into our routines. The Swedish philosophy Lagom can help us center ourselves. It’s not that the Lagom lifestyle promotes work. It’s more about a balanced lifestyle.

“just the right amount” or “not too much, not too little”

The Meaning of Lagom

As we get reacquainted with our daily routine, I’d like you to think about your lifestyle. Are you over extending yourself with social obligations? Does your environment promote positivity or toxicity? Is your work life truly exhausting or is your personal time impacting your rest schedule? Since some of us are out of whack, this is a good time to adjust our behavior in a way that benefits our mind, body, and spirit. There is more to life than a list of accomplishments. A Nomad’s life isn’t for everyone. Let’s bring balance back to our lives.
