All Aspects of Life are Rooted in Style
If there's one thing I've been consistent about this year, it's reading for the fun of it and sharing my thoughts about some of them. Every book can't equal a post. That would take the fun out of it. When I found The Nightmare Before Christmas in manga form I couldn't resist reading it. Since... Continue Reading →
Out of curiosity and a need for graphic novels that weren't on a screen, I decided to borrow a copy of The Abandoned Empress. After finishing Volume I, I was hooked and pleased to read the second volume was coming to print early 2022. Since, it's October, I googled The Abandoned Empress and found out... Continue Reading →
I love reading and playing games. I am not Nintendo Fan Girl (an amazing influencer that I've followed for a long time), but Nintendo is my favorite video game conpany. Although I use the Webtoons App on a daily basis, graphic novels and mangas will always be my first loves. When those two interests combine,... Continue Reading →
The Nightmare Before Christmas is on of my favorite Bermonth movies. Since the movie opens up with This is Halloween, we don't get much direct Halloween celebration for the remainder of the movie. That doesn't mean spooky lovers miss out. Jack Skellington gets the town on board with his hostile takeover of Christmas, but they... Continue Reading →
Updated June 10, 2023 This year I am celebrating my five year readership with Webtoon. The app and website have a variety of comics to choose from. My favorite place in the world is the library. I remember the first time I went to one. It's was First Grade. We actually walked there, because the library was very close to our elementary school. We took a shortcut through the cemetery. Once we arrived, we met the librarian at the circulation desk and... Continue Reading →
Liguorie Lecomte is a an unlikely chef. Hear me out, he admits in his intro that he wasn't thinking about cooking and baking as a teen. He was diving into pop culture. Games, movies, books and cartoons. If you focused solely on that time in his life a career in the entertainment industry seemed more... Continue Reading →
I have a confession to make. I was bummed about Lore Olympus 4-month hiatus. I read the mid-season finale Christmas night. Most Lore Olympus fans will understand how I felt...Danie Sterling a.k.a. Whitherling helped soothe that heart ache. Melodramatic as it sounds, I didn't want to start a new-to-me Webtoon series that would tempt me... Continue Reading →
Don't let the word "history" stop you from picking up Game On! Video Game History from Pong and Pacman to Mario, Minecraft, and More by Dustin Hansen. This is not a collegiate style book. It's not a book you'll find in children's section either. It's a collection of industry changing games through out the decades.... Continue Reading →
Reading is power. It is one of the ways we obtain knowledge. Carefully orchestrated words gives us the ability to explore places we may never see. If a picture says a thousand words, reading helps us comprehend the many narratives hidden within it. For a time, it was a self-care activity that I did not... Continue Reading →
